Lillian Fazekas Obituary
On April 13th 2024, Lillian (Kardos) Fazekas passed peacefully at age 97, in Newtown CT. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Fazekas. She is survived by daughter Susan Fazekas, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Nancy Fazekas, grandchildren Amy and Alex Polanco and great-granddaughter Zeneida Lillian Polanco, Brian Fazekas and his partner Shanna Fratini, and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Bridgeport, and a lifelong resident of Fairfield CT, Lillian loved the town's nature and beaches. She liked to swim, at the YMCA or in the sound. Loved strolling St. Mary's by the Sea in Black Rock. She did some traveling around the country, but a favorite place was with a book under a shady tree at Southport Beach.
Her family extends their warmest thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and Athena Hospice for their care and kindness to Lillian and her family.
Family memorial will be private. To honor Lillian, plant a flower, pet a dog, and breathe in the sea air.
